3/13/12
Well I got to take my son Joseph and my niece Ana out fishing for a couple of hours today. The fish didn’t bite as well as i hoped that they would. We ended up catching 3 1/2 catfish. 1/2 you say well when Ana was reeling in her second fish she got it to the bank she went to pick it up out of the water and it fell of so I’m counting it as a half. Joseph got to reel in two fish also. To me spending time like this with kids “any kid not just my own” is priceless. It’s not just bonding or hanging with your children its teaching them a lifelong skill. A wise man once said “I can give you a fish and you will eat for a day or I can teach you to fish and you eat for life”. Bring up the next generation of fishermen. You also got to love the expressions on children’s faces, how happy they get, how excited they get, and how much they admire you for spending time with them doing what you love to do. It inspires them to do things that maybe they wouldn’t normally do. Lets all hope that we can each inspire one child to have a passion even if it isn’t fishing. All’s kids want to do anymore is Cell phones and Video Games. I challenge each and every one of you to inspire one child this week. Get them out of the house and enjoy what this big world has to offer.
Until the Next Hole
